I wasn't sure this was ever going to happen for us. This trip was supposed to take place in the Fall of 2012. We planned to celebrate Jim's 50th birthday exploring France. Unfortunately, life got in the way. On 10/31/11 I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. I spent a lot of months having chemo/radiation, surgery, then more chemo. A trip to Europe wasn't happening that year. I have some 'issues' related to my treatments and I wasn't sure I could ever travel like that again. In September/October 2012 we went to Texas for 2 weeks to visit family. I had issues, but was able to manage it. In September/October 2013 we went to the East Coast for 2 weeks. Things weren't perfect, but much better. We decided it was time to plan our trip to France. Except now the trip is longer and covering more territory. Wish me luck!
We leave in 3 weeks. I can't wait!!
