October 8 - On Our Way To Paris

It was time to leave Canet en Rousillon, and we were ready. We returned the car we had been using for 10 days and took a fast train from Perpignan to Paris. Well, the first part wasn't as fast because we made some stops. We then went nonstop from Nimes - Paris and that made up for it. It is approximately 850 kilometers from Perpignan - Paris and it took about 5 1/2 hours to get there. We had 1st class tickets, but I didn't really see a difference between 1st and 2nd class. Next time I will save a few bucks, because we all got there at the same time anyway! The route we took had us going along the coast of the Mediterranean at times. We finally saw the flamingos! We saw a lot of beautiful countryside along the way.
